Whatever your connection to Middletown, Connecticut and the surrounding area, you can participate in and support the activities of the Middlesex County Historical Society:
Become a Member: Membership benefits include reduced or free admission to Historical Society functions, a free subscription to our informative newsletter, and timely notices of upcoming events. But perhaps the most important benefit of all is your support of the continued operation of the Historical Society as we celebrate and preserve our past and expand our reach into an online future.
Donate: Donations of goods and services are always welcome. Heirlooms, photographs, documents, and memorabilia are just some of the things that help build our collections and preserve our past. Many if not most of the items you see in our exhibits were donated by people who wanted to celebrate and share their family’s history. Gifts of money, stocks or bequests help strengthen our endowment and allow for the continued operation and growth of the Society.
Volunteer: The Society could not do all it does without our volunteers! Volunteers are always welcome to work in the Mansfield House gardens, catalog and process documents and artifacts, help organize events, and give exhibit tours. Contact us to explore how you might lend your expertise to further our efforts!
Shop for Gifts: Our gift shop offers Middletown- and history-themed books, ornaments, afghans and other items. Purchase for yourself, family members or friends, and help support the Society!
Visit: Stop by the General Mansfield House at 151 Main Street, Middletown to see our outstanding exhibits and gardens. Or visit us virtually via our website, Facebook page or blog. The Society is always accessible whether you are in Middletown or anywhere with Internet access!
